Acceptable-use principles

Lawful and respectful use

Services must not be used for unlawful activity, threats, harassment, fraud, impersonation, exploitation, unauthorized surveillance, intellectual-property infringement or interference with another person’s rights.

Network and security protection

Users must not probe, attack, overload, disrupt or bypass security controls; distribute malware; compromise accounts or devices; falsify signalling or identity information; or use credentials without authorization.

Calling and messaging

Automated calling, bulk messaging, telemarketing and similar activity must comply with applicable consent, identification, do-not-call, privacy, anti-spam and carrier requirements. Caller identification must not be altered deceptively. Messaging must not contain prohibited, deceptive or abusive content.

Emergency and public-safety systems

Users must not make false emergency reports, interfere with public-safety communications, repeatedly place non-emergency calls to emergency services, or conduct 9-1-1 testing without authorization.

Reasonable safeguards

Customers are expected to protect passwords, devices, PBX systems and administrative interfaces; apply security updates; restrict international and premium calling where appropriate; and promptly report suspected compromise.

Enforcement

CreekCo may investigate credible reports and, where permitted by contract and law, restrict, suspend or terminate affected functions to protect users, networks, public safety or legal compliance. Urgent protective action may occur before full investigation when reasonably necessary.

Reporting

Reports should include the date and time, relevant telephone number or account identifier, a concise description, and supporting evidence that can lawfully be shared. Send reports to abuse@creekco.ca. This address is not an emergency channel.
